The Escapist camping tarp comes from outdoor experts Sea to Summit. The tarp is made from durable, yet lightweight 15 denier Sil/PU coated 15D nylon with taped seams. The lightweight nylon has a waterhead of 1,200mm. The high visibility shelter comes in two sizes to accommodate one or two people when set up as a tent.
With 8 Hypalon™ and bar-tack reinforced tie-out points, the Escapist tarp is extremely versatile! It is compatible with the Escapist bug net and groundsheet (each sold separately). Reinforced corners with cord lock and guy lines mean that you can adjust the tension from inside the shelter to suit the conditions.
Use your trekking poles as tent-poles and set up an A-frame tent. Alternatively, you can set up the tarp as a shade tent or lean-to shelter. In an emergency, you can use the Escapist tarp as a bivvy shelter using sticks or other found items to create a shelter for sleeping or sheltering from the elements.
The Escapist tarp packs up into a tiny stuff sack so it really is a no-brainer to add this to your packing list next time you're heading out.
